Luc Hedstrom - Audio Engineer & Sound Editor
Based in Chicago, IL, I’ve spent nearly half a decade providing a wide range of audio services to peers and clients across the city’s vibrant independent music and film scene.
Since graduating from Columbia College Chicago in 2024, I’ve been professionally freelancing with post-production companies and recording studios, building strong working relationships with clients such as Noisefloor Ltd. and RCM Studios Inc. Alongside contract work, I continue to refine my craft at my home studio, whether through guitar maintenance and modding, circuit bending, DSP programming, pro-bono work, or helping friends bring their music and films to life.

In addition to my technical background, I’m a classically trained musician specializing in bass guitar and vocals. I’m also a proficient drummer, guitarist, and keyboardist, and offer my services as a session musician for media composition and musical projects of all kinds.
I offer audio services ranging across visual media, music, podcasts, broadcasts, live events, and video games. My work spans sound editing, design, and mixing for post-production and studio environments, as well as more experimental pursuits such as DSP programming and circuit bending. I also provide guitar tech services, including setups, fretwork, and electronics repair or modification. Whether collaborating on a film, fine-tuning a live performance rig, or supporting an indie game’s audio pipeline, I bring a versatile, detail-oriented approach rooted in years of hands-on experience and a deep commitment to the pursuit of continuous learning and experimentation in audio.
